Zero Excuses. Seems a little impossible—maybe it is. All we weight loss dieters let an excuse slip out now and then. But most of it is just venting a little steam or wishful thinking. After not eating pizza for months, when you pass a pizza place, you might say wish I could have some pizza. When you get to maintenance level, you will be able to have a piece of pizza, unless you decide pizza is no longer on your healthy eating list. You might be able to make it healthier at home.
The closer you can get to zero excuses, the stronger will be your resolve to make it to your goal no matter what. You will not have any indulgence on Saturday and say I’ll hit it hard again on Monday. It’s surprising, well maybe it isn’t, how often we succumb to an excuse. Sometimes it’s almost unconscious. That’s why we need to guard our thinking when on our weight loss phase, well from now on. Weight loss is hard while weight gain is easy. I can’t say I don’t ever think excuse, but it’s rarer that I put one into practice.
