Weight loss is perhaps one of the most difficult of life changes a person can make in his lifetime. Food addiction is worse than other addictions for the reason that we all have to eat. And most of us eat three times or more a day. That makes changing the way we eat most difficult. Additionally, most of us don’t have the willpower to do it. It requires a change from within—a renewal.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2 NKJV). Our minds are what hold us back from weight loss success. We have to have a change our thinking about all things pertaining to the weight loss journey. We have to see that God is with us in this journey and empowers us by His grace to accomplish this feat. You don’t think it a big deal? Then you are skinny. Do a Goggle search on ‘Weight Loss’. At the time I did there were 181,000,000 hits. That means it’s hard and there is that much chatter about it.
“Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:5 NKJV).
