Hi y’all. It’s another weigh-in day. I’m looking out the window overlooking Table Rock Lake in Hollister, Missouri near Branson. Beautiful setting and I have to interrupt it by getting on the scale. Yes I travel with the scale or should I say the scale travels with me. I hope the Dino’s carrot cake hasn’t caused the scale to tip in the wrong direction.
Here’s a quote by another scale naysayer. We tried the Sonoma Diet for a while. It is a Mediterranean style eating plan. We did enjoy some of the recipes. She says:
“While it’s tempting to jump on the scale each day to check your progress, try to resist. The number on the scale doesn’t account for things like water retention, menstrual cycle, and muscle mass, any of which can tip the scale in one direction or the other. For a better gauge of your weight loss, concentrate on how you’re feeling, how you look, and the items in your closet that are fitting a little more loosely” Dr. Connie Guttersen RD PhD Sonoma Diet
I still think the scale is the best gauge of whether you are actually losing weight.
Hey I lost on a trip, It’s green.
