It’s another Saturday and another weigh-in. I’m between trips. The next trip is on the 24th. So between trips I have to work harder to lose weight because I know trips stall my weight loss.
The Bible says if anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God. (James 1:5) Knowledge means knowing things. Wisdom is applying knowledge the best way. I know lots about dieting. Now I need to apply that knowledge in a way I will succeed at weight loss no matter the hindrances that come my way.
I haven’t seen the results I’ve desired to see. Many diets have come and gone. Now it is time to use my knowledge to succeed. The main thing is sticking with the program no matter what. I need to take each day one at a time and make correct choices. Success lies in consistency and patience.
Then the Bible also says to not lean on my understanding, but acknowledge God and He will direct my paths. This is as much about dieting as about anything in life. We have to acknowledge we just can’t do it on our own. We need His grace to succeed.
