Another observation I made along the trip. There are so many possible dangers along the way. We passed several accidents. We skirted storms and bad weather. My conclusion goes back to God’s grace. Grace is not only living in God’s favor—undeserved, unmerited, unearned favor, but grace is empowerment. It is sufficiency for every situation. Grace kept us safe through empowering God’s protection over us. It’s never by our skill and ability but by His grace. He gives us wisdom while traveling. Don’t make dumb mistakes. Obey the rules of travel and drive defensively watching out for all the other drivers who are not watching out for you. It’s grace that keeps us safe and it’s grace that empowers our dieting. God give us wisdom to make the right choices, then empowers us to make the right choices. It’s all about grace and the finished work of Jesus. When we ask for safe travel and keeping our home and family including our dogs from harm, we are giving God permission to look after those needs. It’s all about Jesus.
