Today is Valentine’s Day. We usually go out to eat on this day, but we have pretty much cut out restaurant dining in order to maximize our weight loss. You can ask the server to leave off the butter, or the salt, etc. or whatever your diet prohibits, but for us it seems like going out to eat opens the door to cravings and diet problems, especially when we are on a trip. Our next trip is in a week. There will be no chocolate this Valentine’s Day. We are going to lose the weight, no matter what special day it is. After all, it is just another commercial day encouraging us to go going out and eat and spend money. It’s a day of love and you can enjoy it and still eat healthy. It is also a reminder to love one another because of who first loved us.
