What do you say to an obstinate scale? Nothing. Remember the scale is a tool to use on your weight loss journey. It’s not the scale that is refusing to go down, it’s your body that is refusing to lose for whatever reason. If you have a diet that works for the long haul, then you just keep on keeping on. The body has complicated mechanisms when it comes to regulating itself. Sometimes it is just readjusting to the new weight loss regimen. I don’t like it when I stall. Sometimes the stall is for many days. The best thing you can do is not get anxious but just know that this too will pass. You might want to get some variety in your diet. Change the veggies. Try new ones on your plan. Maybe too much fruit or change the fruit you are eating. Try a different breakfast if you have been eating one egg and lite toast every morning. If you have started a workout, you may be gaining some muscle and that stalls weight loss. This is when you have to lean not on your own understanding. Just say by God’s grace I shall continue to lose.
