Are you hungry? Are you sure? Some diet folk believe you shouldn’t eat until you are hungry. If you can do that then do it. However, I’m on the bandwagon of those who think consistency merits a great deal in dieting. Eating at regular times has a way of eliminating overeating and has a way of getting the body regulated. I think the body is happy knowing food will be coming around 11:00 or 12:00 for lunch. If you eat specific things at specific times, I believe your body’s fat mechanisms will fall into rhythm. The Thin Within plan is an advocate of eating only when hungry. They seem to be successful at that. Along with the reliance on grace, they have a strong following on that theory. I’m more on the eating regularly what the plan allows theory. It works if you eat only what your plan allows. For example, for lunch I can have a portion of protein such as chicken, two vegetables, and a starch. So that’s all I get and that’s all I want. I can’t overeat doing it this way. That’s the plan and I’m sticking to it.
