“Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12) Never think that you finally have it figured out and can go it on your own. I’m talking about dieting of course, although it applies to life in general. Believers believe. That’s what we do. When we don’t believe then we fall. Sometimes we get things going real good and we are on auto-pilot and our diet is marching along when the strangest problem will pop up from nowhere and assault your diet plan. Then you try to fix it yourself and the next thing you know, you are sliding down that slippery slope. You told the waiter no bread. He brings it anyway. Oh well ,one roll won’t hurt. Beware lest you fall. Do we have to be so strict that we can’t enjoy a roll? If you do, skip the potato. If you give into something, it makes it easier to give in next time. You might even take a bite of dessert, after all it comes with the meal. Maybe a little more than a bite. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Take heed lest you fall.
