“In addition to eating right, exercising on a regular basis is one of the most beneficial ways to stay healthy and physically fit. Incorporate an exercise routine into your daily schedule. This can vary between a short walk on a lunch break, to a high intensity workout session. Mix things up to create the best workout for you.”
Springtime is a great time to begin to begin an outdoor walking plan. We have several places we like to walk. Some are a little farther away and require an annual parking permit. Others are closer. We don’t like walking in the neighborhood with lack of sidewalks. Whatever your choices for walking, just do it.
When we go on our trips, we plan in as much walking as possible. If it’s on the beach or on mountain trails, we try to walk each day. We still do our indoor walking DVD’s because they are more exercise then just walking alone. We also fit some strength training in using our dumbbells.
I’m looking forward to some walking along the lakeside. There is something about getting out in the woods among the pine trees and oaks that both refresh the body as well as the soul. Walking should be fun. Even if it’s not totally fun, we should do it. By walking you can use up stored energy. Stored energy is fat. Help use up the fat stores by walking. Walk, walk, walk!
