We started looking at this yesterday: “Everything is permitted me, but not everything is beneficial. Although everything is allowed me, I will not be mastered by anything.” There are many foods that are not beneficial to your weight loss journey, and as a matter of fact, not beneficial to your health. That’s why I believe a weight loss diet should have some restrictions to teach you what is not beneficial. Sugar is highly restricted on our diet. We can’t have chocolate, even dark chocolate because it contains too much sugar. Too much sugar is bad for your health as well. In fact, diabetes used to be called sugar diabetes until they determined that lots of food can change into sugar when eaten. It just shows that some foods are not helpful even if you aren’t dieting. I don’t want chocolate. I don’t need chocolate. It doesn’t help me on my weight loss journey. Of course the alternatives of fruit are permissible and beneficial but that doesn’t mean chocolate covered cherries or strawberries.
