How do you treat a holiday while dieting? Do you say it only happens once a year so might as well let up and overeat, or to you keep the status quo? Remember there are several holidays in a year. You might be on a trip or traveling to Mom’s or Grandma’s house which will certainly stress your diet. How many Mom’s will say “here eat another serving, you’re looking too thin”? One company uses the holidays as challenges. I thought it was a good idea so I used it for Memorial Day. Weigh on Friday (the holiday is on a Monday) and then weigh on Tuesday. Pick an amount you want to lose. This company suggested a pound and a half. That means to trip to the BBQ and no extra desserts. You will probably need to walk some as well. I participated in it as a way to not let the holiday cause weight loss. Sometimes a little challenge helps in the weight loss journey. I’m always up for a challenge.
