“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Yes, you can glorify God even in you eating and drinking. To glorify God means to shine the spotlight on Him by how we live our lives. Our life as believers should point to Jesus in a good way. Our weight has a way of saying something about us. And if we profess we are a Christian then our lives say something about God. If we don’t care about our weight or our diet, people will think that God doesn’t care or that God must not like them that will since they are so fat. It’s not true, but that’s what people see in us. “Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved” (1 Corinthians 10:33). We want our lives to show something good about Jesus. If you tell people that Jesus is helping you lose weight, then they will watch and see. So bring glory to the Lord in you eating.
