Excuse – The family won’t diet with me. Anytime I use the word diet I always mean weight loss diet. So we have to ask, are you the only one in your family that needs to lose weight? If so, then you have to go it alone. Yes, that might mean fixing two separate things. But you have to do what you need to do to lose the weight that is besetting you. Most diets can be easily made into family meals, such as meat and veggies. If there are other family members who need to lose weight, then put them on the diet. Husbands can sometimes be pretty obstinate. Fat husbands can be really troublesome I know. Talk about the issues in a non-judgmental way and share the benefits of losing weight. Suggest they can help you as well as themselves be healthier. If your husband is Archie Bunker, then fix meals they like and sneak in a few delicious diet recipes. Don’t neglect yourself. Don’t let this become an excuse to not get the weight off. It’s for you, and your family. You will have more energy and spunk to make it through each day.
