“This is the way I’ve always eaten.” And how is that working out for you? If you are overweight, not good I suspect. I think we all have favorite foods and meals that we had when we were children. My mom fixed a Spam hash that was so good. Course now I don’t eat that. There are foods we love that have certain meaning for us. We sometimes had Pizza on Friday fun nights when our kids were going up. But as Bob Dylan sang “Times they are a changin’.” What we ate growing up might have been okay but now they cause us to put on the pounds.
If you are overweight and want to lose that weight, then you are just going to have to make changes to the way you eat. First, eat healthy, and second, smaller portions. If the way you’ve always eaten is healthy, then good for you. But for us weight challenged folk, I suspect there are changes on the horizon. We’ve made a number of changes in order to get our weight off. And that’s how it has to be. As we say eating has to change or the weight won’t.
