Excuse – I can’t make it through the evening without a snack. I think this is my excuse—or one of them. If you sit in front of the TV for any length of time in the evening, eventually you will want to snack. You will endure several food commercials and they just subliminally reach into your brain and rattle a snack out of you. I think it is a tremendous effort of will to ignore the urge to eat something. The alternative is to have something on your plan you can eat, such as fruit, nuts, veggies rather than crackers, cookies, and candy.
I don’t like to drink something later as I then have to get up in the middle of the night for a bathroom trip. Several fruits work great such as an apple, strawberries, blueberries, pears, melons, and oranges. You want to have a diet plan that includes the evening snack if that is troublesome. The more restrictions you place on yourself the harder the diet is. Therefore, where you have weaknesses such as evening time, try to find low-calorie healthy snacks that give you a physical and emotional boast. Don’t run to McDonald’s when you see their Big Mac ad.
