Excuse – It’s a bad time to diet. I saved this excuse for the end. For most people, this time of the year is a bad time to start a diet. They may be off work, going on a trip over the New Years, and still finishing the Christmas cookies. When you really get down to it, is there a good time to diet? In most lives, something is going on all the time. Weight loss diet would just add to all the stuff.
Last year at this time, Charlene and I began a weight loss diet. By January 1, I had already lost 6.4 pounds. By the last week of July, I had reached my goal of 50 pounds gone. I could have said this was a bad time to diet, and would now be thinking about starting to diet,and probably with the old excuse, it’s a bad time to start a diet.
Only you can decide to get rid of those excess pounds that are weighting you down. I was carrying a 50-pound backpack wherever I went. Can you lift 50 pounds? Today is a good time to start a diet. Don’t just think about it. Do it, for your health and for those around you. No more excuses.
