“I’m always hungry.” Yeah, me too. But wait… What do you mean by hungry? Do you means starving, or do you mean that it just seems like I could eat more? Weight loss dieting, by definition, means to eat less than your body wants in order to get it to use fat stores. Some diets will say follow their diet and you will never be hungry. For example, The Appetite Solution: Lose Weight Effortlessly and Never Be Hungry Again. Reviewers weren’t so pleased with it. But I’m not here to bash other diets, but point out that having dieted for many years, I don’t think it’s possible to never be a little hungry.
That said, I think it is a total excuse to say I’m always hungry and that’s why I don’t diet. A big chicken salad will fill you up. A large bowl of chicken vegetable soup will fill you up. So there are meals that will knock off the hunger at least for a while. You have probably been overeating for a long time now and your body is overweight and needs more to keep running. I saw a show the other night where the person was eating over 10,000 calories a day. Course she was 777 pounds. A person such as that or even a person 50 pounds overweight has been used to eating more than they should. Cutting back to eat the right size portion will cause a bit of hunger. That’s when you must have a strong reason to diet.
