Excuse – I have to have my chocolate. I was reading an article about women who had lost more than 100 pounds and how they did it. Here’s a quote. “One or two dark chocolate peanut butter cups. I have dark chocolate almost every day—I love it and it helps me avoid feeling deprived or restricted.” This woman still lost although she still had her chocolate. My wife and I like chocolate semi sweet chips. We have a few sometimes after a meal. I guess what I’m saying is that a diet doesn’t have to be so strict that you can’t enjoy anything special.
You just have to be careful to figure it into you daily calorie allotment. 1 oz. of dark chocolate has 170 calories. That’s many calories. Learn to replace it with other things such as fruit. Have your chocolate for special treats occasionally. The problem I have and maybe many dieters have is they can’t stop at 1 oz. We tried that with a bar, breaking off a square. However, the bar was soon gone. Grace says everything is legal to eat, but not everything is profitable to your weight loss journey.
