Excuse – I hate chopping vegetables. Now we are getting fussy aren’t we? If you are all by yourself, the vegetables aren’t going to chop themselves. If married, you may enlist you spouse to help. Chopping vegetables is just symbolic of preparing the food. Yes, there may be more veggies in this diet, especially in salads and soups. There are many things we dislike doing, but they just need to be done. There are ways around this. You can buy prepared food from some grocery stores.
When we go to Gatlinburg, we shop at a Food City which has a salad bar. You can buy all the fixings for a salad and pay by the ounce. It can be more expensive than preparing it yourself but much more convenient. This store also has hot food prepared. This is a tourist town and we tourists like convenience. There are also grocery stores that have chopped veggies in there produce section. The convenience of just carrying home your veggies ready for soup, salad, or any other recipe.
There are always alternatives to excuses. Sometimes you need a swift kick or a little help thinking outside your preset boundaries. Turn on the TV and watch the news while you chop, or maybe some chopping music.
