The third area a person needs to look at is if the diet is healthy. Therein lies the rub as they say. It’s like you can’t get a job if you don’t have experience, and you can’t get experience unless you have a job.
The word “healthy” invokes a wide range of opinion and comment. Except for a few quick loss temporary diets, most diets consider themselves healthy. Of course, each diet writer bases their idea of healthy on their standard.
Vegans say they are the only healthy diet. Low carb says they are. High carb low-fat says they are. And many use the government standards as healthy. That is already suspect. New research has proven old ideas of healthy obsolete.
So the idea of healthy is very complicated for the average dieter. If I tell you what I think is healthy, I’ll be just another voice selling their thoughts on health. Actually I would be giving it for free. But you don’t need yet another voice telling you what is healthy. What has been proven healthy? What’s the science behind healthy? What’s the common sense needed to eat healthy foods?
