Experts who carried out a detailed study of women also found a large percentage lament a failure to lose weight as a major regret in their lives. If you want to avoid regrets, don’t put off what you really need to do. The dictionary says regret is “a feeling of sadness, repentance, or disappointment over something that has happened or been done.” Or in the case of dieting what hasn’t been done. Frank Sinatra in his song My Way says “Regrets, I’ve had a few; But then again, too few to mention.” We can’t live in the land of regrets. It’s time to put them behind us and move on to live in the victory that is already ours in Christ. Regrets aren’t productive and they lead to sadness or depression. Don’t live in the “I wish I did,” or the “I should have”. Live in the “I am more than a conqueror in Christ”. Dieting success is possible because with God all things are possible.
PS. This applies to more than just dieting.
