There is a saying “I’m not dieting, I’m eating heathy.” How can that possible be true? A diet is “the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats.” If you eat anything, you are eating on a diet. The cow’s diet is grass. The dog’s diet is dog food. As my young son said years ago, “a chicken eats chicken food.” So if you are eating healthy, you are on a healthy eating diet. You can eat healthy and still not lose weight. A weight loss diet is for the sole purpose of losing weight. If you are trying to lose weight by eating healthy, you are still on a weight loss diet unless of course you aren’t losing weight. Everyone is on a diet. Some are on a weight gaining diet. Some are on a fast food diet. People have lost weight by eating subs, and walking a lot. I would hope that whatever weight loss diet you are on, it’s a healthy one. It wouldn’t be smart losing weight by eating donuts each day. You will probably lose weight, but it wouldn’t be healthy.
