We have been talking about the non-dieting and exercising part of dieting. Huh? Yes, it’s the mental part of dieting. I’d say it’s about 80% of dieting. Here is where most people fail. That’s why we have been looking at this in such detail. Look at this scripture. “28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls” (Matthew 11:28-29). “Your souls” is that part of your thinking, your will, and the emotional part of you. This is where the diet battle takes place. Jesus says if you are heavy laden over the burden of dieting, then in Him you can find rest. Take your diet to the next level—rest. Is it possible to just rest and relax when you are dieting? In Jesus this promise is ‘Yes it is’.
