Albert Einstein (he’s that smart guy) said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Diet insanity is giving the same old excuse and expecting something to change. Some will say dieting itself is insanity. However, repeatedly I say that what you eat is your diet. Eating a diet that helps you lose weight is still a diet. Everyone is on a diet of some kind. You may eat what you want, that’s your diet. You may say you are eating healthy, that’s your diet. You may be eating healthy and losing weight, that’s your diet.
In order to lose weight, your diet must be so ordered to allow weight loss, such as the kinds and amounts of foods you eat. Don’t let anyone tell you that they are not on a diet—everyone has a diet they follow. The insanity is that you continue on the same diet you have been on for years and gaining weight, and make an excuse for not changing that diet to a weight loss diet.
Don’t expect to lose weight unless your diet is a weight loss diet. No matter the procedures and the ingredients of a diet, unless you are losing weight, it’s not a weight loss diet. Change your thinking about your diet.
