It’s August 1, how you doing with your weight? Are you keeping track of your progress in any way? Many experts suggest keeping a diet journal, Here you can record what you ate, how much you weigh, and general feelings about your day. I think women are more likely to keep a journal about their diet feelings. Us guys don’t want to discuss our feelings and certainly don’t want to write them down. Be aware of the emotions of the last month and how they affected your weight loss. I think it is some benefit to see your weight loss progress written somewhere. I keep my weekly progress on a spreadsheet. I can instantly see how I’m doing. I put my weight in green when I go down and red when I go up. It’s nice to see more green than red. Green is for maintaining as well. I also record my measurements and fat percentage figured from the scale, as well as a handheld fat percentage calculation device and a caliper just to see the correlation between them. I think it’s important to watch the progress rather than just looking in the mirror on tightening the belt another notch.
