The food we eat on a diet will be the food we eat the rest of our lives. That’s reality for those of us with weight challenges. We also know that losing weight will mean lower calorie food such as lots of vegetables. Without considering health, as long as the food eaten leads to a deficit, it’s a weight loss diet. That means eating a donut for breakfast, lunch, and dinner would result in weight loss. But how long can a person eat that? It’s not sustainable.
Jared Fogel, who weighed 425 pounds at six-foot two, went on a fast food diet at Subway. Jared ate a 6″ turkey sub and a bag of baked chips for lunch and a 12″ veggie sub for dinner, with extra veggies and no cheese, oil or mayo. This totals to about 1000 calories per day. He lost his weight in a year and became a multimillionaire being a spokesman for Subway. It worked for him as a weight loss diet, but after the year, Jared changed his diet. He coupled that diet with tons of walking. Subway has said that it worked for Jared, but you need to check with your doctor about starting any diet like that.
