Talking about the emotion of happiness, Stepfanie Romine in her article on 51 Things A Happy Person Does Differently says in number 45: “Eat well, choosing healthful foods that nourish their body and fuel them through their daily lives. They indulge in moderation, and they try not to use food as a way to cope with emotions.” (http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/wellness_articles.asp?id=1894&page=3) The problem is using food to cope with emotions. Regardless of the emotion, happiness, sadness, etc. we can’t use food as the coping mechanism to help us through the trying circumstance. That simply leads to failure. The food may help temporarily but the weight loss goes down the tubes. Happy is the person whose trust is in the Lord.
