This is are 6th year of putting out daily weight loss and health tips. That’s 2190 blogs and a few extra tossed in. I looked up the reason we started this and here it is the first blog from February 28, 2011:
The last day of February and I’ve decided (choice) to keep a journal of my diet journey. I’m doing it for several reasons. I need accountability. If I reveal my struggles I’m held to your accountability. It will also help me from failing as I usually do because I don’t want to look foolish to those I’m trying to teach. I’m convinced that the spirit man is hugely involved in my overcoming any physical problem. Dieting is not only choosing a healthy diet and choosing one that can be a lifetime choice, but it is overcoming obstacles of logistics (vacations, holidays, travel), overcoming cravings, boredom, tiredness, and many other mental battles. I don’t know the percentages but I think the battlefield of the mind, and overcoming strongholds is a bigger problem then making out a menu. Then sticking to it is the hard part. It is difficult for me because we spend at least a week a month away from home. But I can overcome every obstacle and excuse through the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. It is the renewing of the mind and it doesn’t get any easier the older you get. For me it is a fight.
Okay, some of it we have accomplished, some is still a work in progress, and the rest is yet to come. I’ve been successful in losing weight, but now I have a new goal that puts me on the weight loss diet once again. Watching my weight will be concern the rest of my life. But along the way through these six years, I’ve learned a lot and we will continue to give out my tips as I both theorize and practice them.
